These Windows

Working in beautiful spaces is itself and inspiring way to kickstart to intellectual and creative activity

These Windows is a project imagined, planned and produced by a group of writers and illustrators who worked with artist Graham Johnston and writer Andy Jackson, and a team of educationalists at the V&A Dundee to create a unique and beautiful on line and print publication of essays. This comprises both text and drawing, poetry and prose fragments. See some of the pages from that publication here and read how essaying shaped and influenced the writing and thinking of These Windows Managing Editor, Hannah Whaley.

For These Windows, a range of writers and thinkers and artists in Scotland and Oxford considered various aspects of the V&A Museums and their collections both in Dundee and London and worked collaboratively as a way of thinking about art and architecture in new ways.

Working in beautiful spaces is itself and inspiring way to kickstart to intellectual and creative activity.

Further projects are planned that bring together disparate groups of people to work together to create surprising, intelligent and beautiful essays that might change how we think about the various spaces we inhabit, and how they affect and change us.
